Je suis Charlie.
Hi mom, Hi dad,
I'm visiting Nice, Paris right now, and something tragic and maniacal happened in Paris. I'm okay, don't worry, but I just wanted to let you both know. There was a very famous newspaper that joked about politicians and some other things called Charlie Hebdo. Charlie Hebdo released cartoons that were offensive to the Muslim religion because they drew the Muslim prophet Muhammad in one of their cartoons and said some "funny" and offensive things, and it is against the Muslim belief to have or create a picture of Muhammad. Some Muslim extremists, who were provoked by these cartoons, went to Paris in the 19th arrondissment and shot and killed two police officers and 10 of the 25 journalists in Charlie Hebdo. The people of Paris are very terrified and paranoid and they are grieving the deaths of the police officers and journalists. I think that the cartoons were too offensive and provoking, but I think that the 3 guys that did this went too far and they should have found a better and non-harmful solution to stop Charlie Hebdo from posting cartoons about their prophet again. In return, Charlie Hebdo could apologize and create stability or a sense of peace between each other. I think that they should have respected each other and I think that everyone in the world should be more respectful of each other. Its gruesome and inhumane to kill people for reasons like this.
